A study sponsored by MassMutual and the Raymond Institute on women in family-owned businesses reports that women CEO’s of family businesses give a higher proportion of their company resources to charity than their male counterparts. Much of their giving is targeted on community and educational charities.
I found this article to be very enlightening. I think women today are encouraged to enter the business world. Slowly women are gaining the equal business group that they are due.
I understand why women have more of a philanthropic attitude when running a business. Women like to help people so it is only natural for women to reach out to communities that need help. I found it very satisfying that the report stated that women have greater productivity rates over men. I think women are for the most part more creative in getting the job done.
