No because most of the social media companies are still trying to find a viable business model in which they can make money.
They are operating on investments not profits. At some point they are going to have to show a profit or fail. This is a very risky industry which has yet to find a way to make a profit.
The deepening recesion is going to dry up there VC credit and reduce their online ad revenue, leading to failure or consolidation or charging users for their services.
A small business needs to make an educated and calculated risk that is in their favor. Social media is a risky gamble.
