As a non-economist what I have taken away from the discussion so far this morning is that the long term economic forecast is pretty bleak, and that few of the economists can agree on what has happened to us and what we need to do…..

Reminds me of the Harry Truman quote about how he needed a one armed economist, so that the guy could never make a statement and then say: “on the other hand.”
As a small business owner, I am alarmed at our continuing decline in sales that doesn’t appear to be letting up.
But I’m hopeful that all of the talk about how the economy is in shambles and that it’s always going to be terrible for the foreseeable future means that we’ve already hit bottom and are on the way back up in general.
